Honen for Docebo: build courses and keep Docebo as your LMS

Honen helps your team draft, review, and deliver training in Docebo Learn. Build the course in Honen. Add its live SCORM package to Docebo as training material. Learners launch it from their Docebo course. Docebo keeps enrollment and training records.

Docebo accepts SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd Edition. For Honen, export SCORM 1.2. Honen's SCORM 2004 export is 4th Edition, while Docebo documents 3rd Edition. Add the ZIP to a Docebo course as SCORM training material. Test it with a learner account before release.

Honen's thin package loads the current course from Honen when a learner opens it. You can correct approved course content in Honen without uploading a new ZIP for each content edit. Changes to the package structure or LMS tracking configuration still need testing. Docebo also has its own package version rules.

Docebo also supports basic LTI 1.3 training material. Its documentation says LTI Deep Linking is unavailable. Check your tenant's launch and score setup before you choose LTI. SCORM is the simpler path when you need Docebo's established package workflow.

Create and check the course

Start with an approved procedure, policy, slide deck, or video. Ask Honen to draft lessons, questions, and practice material. Check each claim against the source. Then review the words with your subject expert.

For controlled language, tell Honen which terms your organization approves. Ask for short sentences, active verbs, and one instruction per step. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. Honen can assist this review.

Tutor, completion, and analytics

The Honen course can include an AI tutor for questions about the material. Test the tutor's answers and access rules before release. Docebo records the status and score that the SCORM package sends during an open course session. The package must close correctly for Docebo to receive completion; Docebo explains this in its SCORM guidance.

Use Docebo's course report for LMS status, dates, and scores. Use Honen to review learning activity inside the course. If your organization forwards xAPI events to its own LRS, confirm the endpoint and event mapping as a separate setup step.

Questions teams ask

Does Honen replace Docebo?

No. Docebo remains the place where you assign and track the training. Honen is the authoring and learning layer.

Can I use SCORM 2004?

Docebo documents SCORM 2004 3rd Edition, but Honen exports SCORM 2004 4th Edition. Use Honen SCORM 1.2 for this path. Test navigation and scoring with the exact package.

Does a course edit require another ZIP?

An edit to Honen-hosted lesson content can appear through the existing live package. Re-test changes to tracking, navigation, or package structure.

Does LTI 1.3 include Deep Linking?

Docebo's current help page says it supports basic LTI 1.3 content and does not support Deep Linking. Do not plan a Deep Linking workflow for this connection.

Can Honen guarantee ASD-STE100 compliance?

No. Honen can draft in a controlled style. A trained editor must review the result against the applicable specification and your approved terminology.
