SCORM authoring tool for Cornerstone OnDemand
Use Honen to author a course for Cornerstone Learning when you need reviewed content, an AI tutor, and updates from one source. Honen works with Cornerstone through SCORM. Check the SCORM version and launch behavior in your tenant.
What Cornerstone needs from the package

Cornerstone supports SCORM content. A 2024 Cornerstone tenant guide names SCORM 2004 3rd Edition as that tenant's preferred format. Cornerstone's Content Uploader guide says to upload a ZIP with one content standard. The guide describes a 750 MB upload limit, but administrators should check current tenant limits.
Honen exports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 4th Edition. Start with 1.2 unless your team has tested the 2004 edition and needs its reporting model. Set the Honen reporting policy before export. Test completion, pass or fail, score, time, and resume with a learner account. The exact fields depend on the version and policy.

Author and export with care
- Draft a course from approved source files in Honen.
- Review each fact and assessment answer with a subject expert.
- Review language: use one term for one item, active voice, and one action per step.
- Publish the Honen course and choose the SCORM version and reporting policy.
- Upload the ZIP to a test course in Cornerstone.
Honen can help you draft and review controlled language inspired by ASD-STE100. It does not measure conformity. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and technical terms.
Verify before assignment
Launch as a learner. Complete and resume the course. Check that Cornerstone records the intended state. A grade cannot arrive after the browser has closed the SCORM course. If the package opens in a restricted frame, ask the administrator to review the launch setting and browser policy.
