Articulate and Rise alternative for Cornerstone courses

Compare the work, not just the export format
Cornerstone accepts SCORM content. Each tool can produce learning content for an LMS, but the authoring and update work differs.

Articulate's Connected Packages are a real live-update option. The vendor says the feature is in Labs and can change. Test any connected package with your Cornerstone tenant before you rely on it.
When the other tools fit
Choose Articulate when a team needs Storyline's slide controls or already works in Rise. Choose iSpring when authors build from PowerPoint and need its quizzes, role plays, or training videos. Choose Honen when the course itself needs an AI tutor, activity-based learning, and a live source that you edit in Honen.
Apply the same review to every tool
AI output needs a subject expert. Write short instructions in active voice. Use one term for one item and one action per step. Honen can help draft and review this controlled-language style for Cornerstone courses. Neither the tool choice nor a SCORM export proves ASD-STE100 conformity. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary and rules.
Run a small tenant test for launch, resume, completion, and update behavior. SCORM writes results while the course is open; it is not a background grade service.
