What is a live SCORM package?
A live SCORM package is a small launcher that you import into an LMS. When a learner opens it, the launcher loads the current course from its authoring system. Honen uses this model so a content edit in Honen can appear on the next LMS launch without a new ZIP upload. Find the path for your LMS.
What goes into the LMS

Export the Honen SCORM ZIP. Import the ZIP into a SCORM-capable LMS and attach it to a learning item or course. The LMS keeps the assignment and completion record. The learner opens the item in the LMS. The package then loads the Honen course inside that launch.
Do not change the ZIP after import. If you change only a lesson in Honen, the next course launch loads that lesson. If you change the package configuration or tracking rules, you may need a new export and import. Test a material edit with a learner account before wide release.
SCORM import support alone does not confirm support for a hosted launcher. For example, 360Learning's new player guidance says it does not support connected exports that load a hosted course because the exit button may fail. Test launch, completion, score, resume, and exit in the exact LMS tenant and browser before you rely on live updates.
What SCORM reports
SCORM sends status and score data through the open browser session. Honen can report completion, pass or fail, score, time, and resume data. The LMS decides how to store and display those values. A closed course cannot send a later server-to-server SCORM grade. For a grade service that can operate outside the open course, check whether your LMS supports the required LTI 1.3 services. Read the delivery path comparison.
How this differs from a fixed export
A fixed SCORM export contains or points to a specific course version. A content change often calls for a new package and a new LMS import. A live package points to the current course. This can reduce repeated import work across many LMS tenants. It does not remove review work: confirm that the new lesson is correct and that prior learner progress still makes sense.
Live packages are not unique to Honen. Articulate also describes Connected Packages in its Labs program for SCORM 1.2 and 2004. Compare the course authoring, learner experience, reporting, and update controls you need.
Clear instructions still need review
Use Honen to draft short steps from approved source material. Keep one action in each step and use a consistent term for each object. For ASD-STE100 work, a qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms. No live package makes the writing compliant by itself.
Next step
Choose your LMS from the Honen integration directory, then test a package in a staging course before release.
