Honen for Northpass customer education

For an existing Northpass or Gainsight Customer Education deployment, Honen can help your team draft and review customer lessons. The former Northpass website now directs visitors to Skilljar by Gainsight. Check which product your organization actually runs before you follow these legacy Northpass steps. Put the package in the correct place

The Northpass Media Library lists SCORM 1.2 ZIP as a supported file type. Under Content → Media Library, upload the ZIP and wait for its status to show Ready. Then open the course, select Add Activity, and choose the SCORM activity type. Select a SCO from the available package. Publish the course change after a learner test.

Northpass uses milestones to make an activity a course requirement. If a customer must finish the Honen lesson before a later lesson opens, test the milestone with a learner account. Northpass says score variables must be set for some SCORM milestone rules. A package that launches can still fail the progress gate.

Keep the source clear

Give Honen the approved setup procedure or product guide. Ask the product owner to check each step, label, and quiz answer. Use short sentences, active verbs, and one term for each feature. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and domain terms.

Update and measure

Honen's live package loads current approved content when a learner opens it. A hosted text correction can appear without replacing the ZIP. For a new ZIP, Northpass offers a Media Library replacement flow with choices about continuing or resetting analytics. Test a structural or tracking change before you replace a package used in many courses.

SCORM completion, score, time, and resume writes occur while the course is open. Compare the Northpass course record with Honen's lesson activity. If you forward xAPI statements to your own LRS, configure and test that separate endpoint.

Which SCORM version should I export?

Northpass lists SCORM 1.2 ZIP in its Media Library. Export that version and test it in your course.

Where does the package go?

Upload it under Content → Media Library and wait for Ready. Then add a SCORM activity to the course.

Why might a learner fail to advance?

A Northpass milestone can require a result from the SCORM activity. Test the package's score values and the milestone rule.

Can I correct hosted lesson text without a new ZIP?

Approved Honen-hosted text can load through the existing live package. Re-test structural and tracking changes before release.

Is Northpass still the current product name?

Northpass.com now redirects to Skilljar by Gainsight. These instructions apply to existing Northpass or Gainsight Customer Education deployments. Confirm your tenant before you import a package.

Does an AI draft meet ASD-STE100?

A qualified editor must check the applicable rules, approved dictionary, and domain terms. Honen does not certify conformity.
