SCORM 1.2 authoring for Northpass with Honen
Use Honen to author and review a customer lesson, then export SCORM 1.2 for Northpass. The Honen and Northpass overview shows where the package fits in your academy.
Product-name check: Northpass.com now directs visitors to Skilljar by Gainsight. Use these steps only for an existing Northpass or Gainsight Customer Education tenant; Skilljar has a separate guide.
Match the supported package

Northpass's Media Library documentation lists SCORM 1.2 ZIP. Choose that export for the first compatibility test. Do not assume SCORM 2004 or cmi5 is available because another Gainsight product supports it. Keep the manifest at the ZIP root. Northpass warns that zipping an outer folder or omitting a manifest can leave an uploaded package unusable.
In the course, Northpass lets an admin select a SCO from an available package. Test the selected SCO as a learner. If the course uses milestones, check that the package sends the required score values. Northpass identifies cmi.core.score.raw, min, and max as relevant to its SCORM progress gate. A completion status alone may not release the gate.
Keep language and tracking under review
Give Honen approved source material. Use short active sentences and one approved term per concept. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and domain terms.
Check completion, score, time, and resume while the SCORM session is open. Close the lesson and verify the Northpass record. Honen's hosted text can update inside an existing live package; re-test after changing assessment or tracking logic. Northpass has a separate ZIP replacement process with an analytics choice, so plan that process if you change the package itself.
