Honen for Thought Industries customer education
Honen helps your team draft, review, and update lessons for customers who learn in Thought Industries. Export a Honen SCORM ZIP and add it as a standalone SCORM item or a page in a native course. Thought Industries remains the catalog and course record.
Choose the right Thought Industries container

Thought Industries supports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 ZIP archives, with a documented 2 GB file limit. A standalone SCORM item has package-defined completion but lacks some native course options and reports. A SCORM page in a native course can sit beside native pages, discussions, and resources. Choose the latter when customers need a guided path around the Honen lesson. Test the final package as a learner before release.
The platform also offers SCORM Connect, a premium, flag-gated way to export Thought Industries courses into a customer's other LMS. SCORM Connect hosts that exported content in Thought Industries. That is a different direction from importing a Honen package into Thought Industries. Compare both paths if customers require delivery in their own LMS.
Review the lesson

Start from an approved setup guide, support article, or procedure. Ask the source owner to check product terms, steps, and assessment answers. Use short sentences, active verbs, and one term for each control. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and domain terms.
Plan updates and reports
Honen's live package loads current approved lesson content when a learner opens it. Hosted text changes can appear without replacing the ZIP. Thought Industries also has a native package replacement flow. Its Revert Progress setting can reset active learners to the beginning, so test that choice before a structural package update. A live course requires access to Honen's host.
SCORM writes completion, pass or fail, score, time, and resume data while the course is open. Thought Industries has a course SCORM reporting tab for status and data the package sends. Separate Honen xAPI forwarding to your own LRS requires its own configuration and test.
Questions teams ask
Which SCORM versions can I upload?
Thought Industries documents SCORM 1.2 and 2004 ZIP archives. Test the version that matches your reporting rule.
Should I use standalone SCORM or a course page?
Use a SCORM page in a native course when you need native pages, resources, and course reports around the lesson. Standalone SCORM has fewer native course measures.
Does Thought Industries already offer live SCORM export?
Yes. SCORM Connect exports Thought Industries courses into a customer's other LMS. It is a premium, flag-gated feature.
What happens when I replace a ZIP?
The documented Revert Progress choice controls whether in-progress learners start the new package from the beginning. Test before replacement.
Is a Honen draft ASD-STE100 conformant?
A qualified editor must check the applicable rules and terms. A draft has no automatic conformity status.
