Compliance training in TalentLMS: keep the lesson current

Use TalentLMS to assign and record training. Use Honen to draft, review, and update the lesson. A live Honen package can load current approved content in a TalentLMS course. Read how Honen works with TalentLMS before you choose the package.

Build from the controlling document

Choose the current policy or procedure. Record its owner, version, and effective date. Make each learning goal an action a worker must perform. For safety training, show the safe sequence and the stop condition. For onboarding, identify the task, tool, and contact. For privacy training, explain the approved handling route and who resolves an exception.

Ask Honen to draft a lesson and practice question. Have the policy owner check every rule, threshold, and answer. Test tutor replies against the same source. If a learner asks about an exception, the tutor must not invent permission.

Use short sentences and one action per instruction. Keep terms consistent. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and domain terms where controlled language matters. AI output needs human review and is not a certified compliance result.

Record the result in TalentLMS

Export a single-SCO SCORM 1.2 package. TalentLMS does not support SCORM 2004 or Multi-SCO packages. Set the package's completion and assessment rules before upload. Have a test learner complete and exit the unit. TalentLMS's SCORM Learning activities report can show completion, failures, attempts, time, and scores when the package sends them. SCORM data returns during the open course session.

Change a policy with care

Correct approved lesson content in Honen. The existing live package can load it on the next launch. Record the revision and review it with the policy owner. Re-test navigation, assessment, completion, and resume behavior after a material change. Decide how in-progress learners should handle the revision.
