SCORM authoring tool for Oracle Learning

Honen can author a SCORM course for Oracle Learning. Oracle documents SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 uploads for self-paced learning. The Honen and Oracle Learning integration explains the delivery routes.

Decide the reporting rule

Before export, decide what counts as complete and what counts as passed. SCORM 1.2 uses a combined lesson status; SCORM 2004 can separate completion and success. Choose the edition your Oracle tenant has tested. Set the required score and attempt rule in the learning item, then verify it with a test learner. Oracle documents attempts and reported session time for SCORM content.

The newer self-paced upload flow has a 2 GB limit for SCORM ZIPs. Older content-resource screens may have other limits. Check the actual interface before a large upload.

Author for clear action

Use approved documents, slides, or video. Check every fact and answer. In a technical procedure, write short, active steps.

Keep one action per step and use one name for each part. Honen can assist drafting and review. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. Honen does not certify conformance.

Test the live package

Export the SCORM ZIP and add it to Oracle self-paced learning. Complete and fail the course in separate learner tests. Confirm completion, pass/fail, score, time, and resume. Revise one approved sentence in Honen, then relaunch to confirm the thin package loads current content. SCORM reports while the browser course is open; it is not a server-to-server grade feed.

Next step

Use the Oracle SCORM upload guide, then return to Honen with Oracle Learning. For a format comparison, read SCORM, cmi5, xAPI, and LTI explained.
