SCORM authoring tool for Moodle Workplace: use the documented format

Moodle lists SCORM content integration for Workplace. Moodle's standards page states SCORM 1.2 compliance. Honen can help you build and review a course, then deliver it as a live SCORM 1.2 package. See Honen for Moodle Workplace for the full path.

Set the result before export

Define what completes the lesson. Set a score rule if learners take an assessment. Export a SCORM 1.2 ZIP. Ask a site administrator which activity completion rule and grade settings apply in your Workplace site. Test the final action as a learner. SCORM status and score return only while the course is open.

Draft and check the content

Give Honen an approved workplace procedure. Review each lesson fact, question, and tutor response with the owner. Use short sentences and active verbs.

Put one action in each instruction. Use one approved term for each concept. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules and domain terms. Do not treat the draft as certified.

Honen's live package can load current approved lesson text on launch. Test a structural or tracking change before release. A live course needs network access to Honen. It is a different update method from replacing the ZIP in Moodle's SCORM activity.

Check the activity

Moodle documents adding a SCORM package to a course in edit mode. Use the SCORM activity, not a generic File resource. Launch it with a learner account. Verify status, score, and resume after exit. If the result is missing, inspect the package completion rule and the site's activity settings.

Next step
