How Honen works with HealthStream Learning Center

Build a lesson in Honen from an approved healthcare procedure. Then test a SCORM package in your HealthStream Learning Center (HLC) tenant. HealthStream's 2026 notice confirms that organizations upload SCORM packages into the Authoring Center. Ask your HLC administrator for the current import steps, file limit, and supported SCORM edition.

Place the course in HLC

Give the administrator a reviewed Honen ZIP and a short test plan. Ask where the package belongs in the course, who can see it, and what result HLC must record. Use the SCORM import guide to prepare the test. Run the course with a learner account before you assign it to staff.

A Honen thin package can load current approved content on a later launch. Test external hosting, browser behavior, and resume in HLC before you rely on this update method. SCORM sends data while the browser course is open. HLC tracks assignments and reports training; confirm the exact report your organization needs in its tenant.

Review clinical instructions

For patient transfer, use the current policy, contraindications, and escalation rule. Check every clinical fact with a qualified reviewer. Write short, active steps. Put one action in each step. Use one approved term for each item. A qualified editor must check the ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and medical terms.

Keep the source version and reviewer names with the lesson. A later text change does not show that staff completed the new version. If the change requires retraining, set a new assignment and verify its record in HLC.

Questions teams ask

What is HealthStream's SCORM ZIP limit?

HealthStream's current public pages do not state a ZIP limit. Ask your HLC administrator for the tenant's limit before export, then test the exact ZIP.

Where do I add the Honen activity?

HealthStream confirms that its Authoring Center can hold uploaded SCORM packages. Ask your administrator for the current course and import controls in your tenant. Use the HLC import checklist.

Will a SCORM quiz appear in HLC test reports?

Do not assume that a SCORM score appears in every HLC report. Run a test attempt and inspect the report that your policy requires. If the result is missing, ask your administrator whether HLC needs a separate assessment.

Which SCORM edition should I export?

Confirm the accepted edition with your HLC administrator. Test a learner launch, completion, score, and resume before assignment.
