How Honen works with Dayforce Learning
Keep Dayforce Learning for course assignments and records. Build a course in Honen and upload its SCORM ZIP to Dayforce. The current New Dayforce Learning guide accepts SCORM 1.2 and 2004 and says SCORM 2004 is preferred. Confirm whether your organization uses New or Classic Learning before following screen steps.
Upload the course
- Create and approve the course in Honen.
- Export SCORM 2004, or SCORM 1.2 if your Dayforce team has selected it.
- In New Dayforce Learning, use the documented Admin > Courses > New > Upload SCORM or AICC package path, then upload the ZIP. You can also add a SCORM page to a built course. Read Dayforce's upload guide.
- Test launch, completion, score, time, and resume as a learner.
The ZIP must include imsmanifest.xml and can be up to 1 GB in the current guide. The Classic Learning interface has a different path. Use the guide for your tenant.
Draft and review technical content
Give Honen approved documents, slides, or video. It can draft lessons, checks, and a tutor experience. Review each fact, image, warning, and answer. Use short, active sentences. Put one action in each instruction and use the same term for the same part.
Honen helps draft and review this controlled-language style. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms.
Dayforce also has its own AI Course Creator when the AI Features setting is enabled. Compare the workflows in your tenant before selecting an authoring tool.
Update and track
Honen's thin SCORM package loads current approved content on a new launch, so a course revision need not require another ZIP upload. Test this hosted-content behavior in Dayforce before assignment and after a material change. SCORM can report completion, pass/fail, score, time, and resume while the browser course is open. It does not send a server-to-server grade after exit.
The Honen tutor runs within the launched course. Use Dayforce for the assignment record and Honen for topic mastery and course-level progress review. If your organization has a separate LRS, xAPI forwarding is a separate setup.
