D2L Brightspace LTI 1.3 integration guide

Register Honen as a Brightspace LTI Advantage tool, deploy it to the intended courses, and test the learner link. Read the Honen and D2L Brightspace overview before you select the delivery path.

Register and deploy

D2L's tool registration guide directs an authorized administrator to Admin Tools → Manage Extensibility → LTI Advantage → Register Tool. Use standard registration with the Honen tool values supplied to the workspace integration admin. Then configure the deployment and course links for the intended organization units. Review each requested extension and privacy setting.

Honen's verified launch can provision a learner and map the Brightspace course context to a Honen group. A registration alone does not prove that Deep Linking, grades, roster sync, or embedding works in the tenant.

Enable only the services you need

Brightspace documents LTI 1.3 launch, AGS, NRPS, and Deep Linking. The administrator selects extensions at registration and deployment.

Honen can post completion or pass/fail through AGS. Progress percentage is coarse, and the test-grade setting has no per-course score wired. Verify a test result in Brightspace.

Review content and launch

Draft lessons in Honen. Have a qualified editor check facts, approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. Honen helps draft and review controlled language; it does not certify conformity. Test an instructor link, a learner launch, tutor access, and the permitted data return. If LTI setup is unavailable, SCORM is another Brightspace path.
