AI course creator for Blackboard Learn
Use Honen to draft a course from approved source files. Then deliver the reviewed course through Honen with Blackboard Learn. Blackboard remains the learner's course entry point.
SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in Blackboard Learn. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.
Start with approved material

Collect the current policy, slides, product instructions, and any video transcript. Mark the source owner and revision date. Tell Honen the audience, learning goal, and required checks. Do not treat a draft as approved training.
For example, a lab team can turn an approved equipment checklist into a short safety lesson. Ask learners to identify a fault, stop the machine, and report the fault. Check the order of those actions with the safety owner before you publish the lesson in Blackboard.
Build and review
- Add the source material to Honen.
- Draft the course structure, lessons, practice, and checks.
- Compare each instruction and answer with its source.
- Review wording for short sentences, active verbs, and one action per step.
- Have a qualified editor check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms.
Honen helps draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100.
Put the course in Blackboard
Use a configured LTI 1.3 placement if your institution has approved the tool and its services. Blackboard describes LTI registration and placements. Or export Honen's SCORM 1.2 or 2004 package and add it to Course Content if the SCORM Engine is enabled.
Open the learner view. Check access, tutor behavior, completion, and the gradebook setting you chose. Edit the course in Honen after release; the live SCORM launcher loads current content without a new ZIP upload. Re-export when package settings change. SCORM reporting runs while the course is open.
Next step
See Honen with Blackboard Learn for both paths, and choose an LMS integration for the tradeoffs.
