How Honen works with Tutor LMS

Draft and review a course in Honen. To pilot its SCORM ZIP in Tutor LMS, use GrassBlade xAPI Companion and Experience API for Tutor LMS to place the package in a lesson. Tutor LMS's own course Import/Export tool handles Tutor LMS JSON, not Honen SCORM ZIPs. Discuss a Tutor LMS pilot with Honen.

SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in Tutor LMS with GrassBlade. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.

Use the documented plugin route

GrassBlade's Tutor LMS setup guide lists four parts: Tutor LMS, GrassBlade xAPI Companion, Experience API for Tutor LMS, and GrassBlade Cloud LRS. GrassBlade uploads the ZIP as an xAPI Content item. Its Tutor LMS guide then places that item in a lesson or quiz. The route depends on third-party plugins and the configured LRS.

Do not use Tutor LMS's native Import/Export tool for a SCORM ZIP. That tool transfers Tutor LMS courses between sites as JSON. A JSON course backup and a SCORM learning package serve different purposes.

Approve the course text

Use current procedures, slides, and transcripts as sources. Draft lessons, practice, and checks in Honen. Verify instructions and answers against the source. Honen can help draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms.

Verify launch and lesson state

Test one Honen SCORM 1.2 ZIP with the exact GrassBlade and Tutor LMS versions on your site. Open it as a learner. Check the tutor, resume, completion, score, the LRS record, and Tutor LMS lesson state. GrassBlade's completion settings determine whether the content event changes that lesson state. SCORM reports through the browser while the course is open.

Honen's live ZIP loads current Honen content after a content edit. Package setting changes need a new export.

No. Tutor LMS documents that feature for JSON backups and transfers between Tutor LMS sites.
