SCORM authoring tool for SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Choose a SCORM authoring tool that produces a package your SAP Learning tenant can launch and track. Honen adds AI drafting, an in-course tutor, and live course updates. Read the Honen and SAP Learning overview.
Check the SAP Learning requirements

SAP lists SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 2nd Edition, and SCORM 2004 4th Edition launch methods. SAP says a 3rd Edition package can use its 2nd Edition method only if the features match; 3rd Edition branching will not work through that method. Read SAP's launch method table. Confirm the edition, manifest, content deployment location, and completion criteria with your administrator. SAP says to import SCORM 2004 as one package, without extracting the ZIP. Read SAP's package rule.
Choose a course update model
| Question | Conventional exported ZIP | Honen live package |
|---|---|---|
| Where is lesson content at launch? | In the exported package or its configured host | Loaded from the current Honen course |
| What changes after an edit? | Usually a new export and import | The next launch loads the Honen edit |
| When does SCORM report to SAP? | During the open course session | During the open course session |
A live package still needs an initial import and a test in the tenant. A change to the package itself can require a new import. Test a major lesson revision before release.
Write content learners can follow
Honen can help you draft short, direct sentences with one instruction per step and consistent terms. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. No tool can certify the draft by itself. For safety or compliance training, require a subject expert to approve every task, warning, and answer. Then test completion, pass or fail, score, time, and resume behavior in SAP Learning.
Next step
Use the SAP SuccessFactors Learning integration guide to plan delivery. Read SCORM 1.2 versus SCORM 2004 before selecting a package type.
