SCORM authoring tool for Rippling Learning

Honen can make a SCORM course for Rippling Learning. Rippling confirms SCORM package upload, but its public guide does not identify accepted SCORM versions. Confirm the format in your tenant. The Honen and Rippling Learning page gives the full context.

Decide when SCORM adds value

Rippling offers prebuilt content, partner courses, native custom courses, and SCORM upload. It describes all four catalog routes. Choose SCORM when you need to keep a course authored in Honen while using Rippling's employee-based assignment and enrollment reports. A short video or quiz made inside Rippling may be simpler for a one-time course.

Define what the course reports

Decide when a learner completes the course and when a pass is recorded. Set the check and score rule before export. In a test course, compare Rippling's enrollment report with completion, pass/fail, score, time, and resume values that the package sends. Rippling documents completion and overdue enrollment reports; it does not publish every SCORM field its reports expose. SCORM sends data through the open browser session; it does not send grades after the course closes.

Author for clear action

Use approved documents, slides, or video. Check each rule and answer. Make each instruction short and active.

Put one action in each step and keep names consistent. Honen helps draft and review controlled language. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. No automatic conformance score is available.

Validate the package in Rippling

  1. Ask the Rippling administrator which SCORM edition the tenant accepts.
  2. Export that edition from Honen.
  3. Upload it to a test course through Rippling's documented SCORM capability.
  4. Launch it as a learner and check the record.
  5. Change approved content in Honen and relaunch to verify that the thin package loads the edit.

Rippling's public pages do not specify a package size limit or exact admin labels. Use the tenant's current instructions for those steps. A successful ZIP upload alone does not prove the live course reports correctly.
