How Honen works with MasterStudy

Build and approve a course in Honen. Test its SCORM ZIP as a whole MasterStudy course through MasterStudy's Pro SCORM add-on. The add-on does not import separate SCORM lessons into a normal course. Ask Honen about a MasterStudy pilot.

SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in MasterStudy. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.

MasterStudy documents a SCORM add-on under MasterStudy → Addons. Enable it before opening Course Builder. The Import SCORM control accepts one ZIP for one SCORM course. MasterStudy states that the imported SCORM content cannot be edited inside the LMS and uses its own course player.

Do not upload the ZIP as a normal Course File. MasterStudy's course-materials guide says those files are learner downloads. They do not provide the documented SCORM player or tracking.

MasterStudy warns that importing a SCORM package into an existing course deletes lessons in that course's curriculum. Use a new test course first. Confirm your site's Pro license and accepted SCORM edition; the public add-on guide does not specify the edition.

Review the source and wording

Give Honen approved procedures, slides, and assessment rules. Draft lessons and checks. Compare each instruction and answer with its source. Honen can help draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms.

Check the learner course

Launch the imported course as an enrolled learner. Test the Honen tutor, resume, completion, score, and MasterStudy certificate behavior if your course uses certificates. Honen sends SCORM data through the browser while the course is open. Its live ZIP loads current Honen content after a content edit. Re-export when package settings change.

Can I add one Honen ZIP as a lesson?

MasterStudy's own SCORM add-on imports a full course. Its docs point to a separate third-party route for lesson-level SCORM.

Can I import into an existing course safely?

The vendor warns that existing curriculum lessons are deleted when the SCORM package is imported. Use a new pilot course.

Where do I edit the imported lesson content?

Edit the source course in Honen. MasterStudy says imported SCORM content cannot be edited inside its LMS player. Test the next launch after approval.
