SCORM authoring tool for Absorb LMS
Honen builds a course and exports a live SCORM ZIP for Absorb LMS. Absorb accepts SCORM 1.2 and 2004. See the Honen and Absorb LMS integration for both SCORM and LTI routes.
Set the tracking rule before export

SCORM 1.2 uses a single lesson status. SCORM 2004 separates completion and success. Choose the version your Absorb team has tested. Define whether a learner completes the course by reaching the end, passing an assessment, or both. Absorb lists supported status, score, and time data for each version.
Absorb does not support multi-SCO packages or external content URLs within a SCORM package. Honen's thin package needs a portal test because its current content loads from Honen at launch. Ask Absorb Support about your configuration if the dispatch-style package fails.
Build and review the source
Use approved documents, slides, or video to draft the course in Honen. Check each rule and assessment answer. For technical procedures, use short, active sentences and one action per instruction. Keep terms consistent. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain terms. Honen helps with drafting and review; it does not certify conformance.
Test the package
- Export a single-SCO package in the selected SCORM version.
- Import it as a third-party course or add it to an online course as a learning object.
- Select the matching SCORM format in Absorb.
- Complete a learner test and check status, score, time, and resume.
- Change one approved line in Honen, then relaunch to confirm that the thin package works in your portal and loads the update.
SCORM reports through the open browser session. Do not expect a server-to-server grade after exit. Absorb's learning-object guide documents launch display settings that can affect the learner test.
