How Honen works with Schoology Learning
Keep Schoology Learning for your course and gradebook. Build a course in Honen, then add its SCORM ZIP to Schoology as course material. The Honen tutor runs in the launched course. Discuss a Schoology rollout with Honen.
SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in Schoology Learning. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.
Use the documented SCORM route

Schoology supports SCORM 1.2 and 2004 version 4, matching Honen's export options. In a course, an instructor selects Add Materials → Add Package → SCORM, then uploads the ZIP. Schoology lets the instructor set launch properties, such as navigation and the Finish button. It also offers one package grade column through Enable SCORM grading, or SCO-level columns where the package structure supports them.
Schoology also has an LTI 1.3 app route through App Center. That documentation does not establish a Honen App Center installation. Use the SCORM route described here until your district verifies a Honen LTI app path.
Build a reviewed course

Give Honen approved documents, slides, and other source material. Draft lessons, activities, and checks. Review each step and answer. Honen can help draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms.
Update content and check reporting
The Honen ZIP is a thin live launcher. A content edit in Honen appears on the next Schoology launch without another ZIP upload. Re-export when package settings change. SCORM sends completion, pass/fail, score, time, and resume data through the browser while the course is open. Test the specific Schoology grade type and launch properties with a learner account. Honen also keeps its own course progress view.
Questions teams ask
Which Honen SCORM version should I choose for Schoology?
Schoology documents support for SCORM 1.2 and 2004 version 4. Choose the version your district tests and accepts for this course.
Can the package make a Schoology gradebook column?
Yes. Schoology's package properties offer SCORM package grading and SCO grading. Select the option that matches the package and test it.
Will the tutor open with the course?
Yes. The tutor is part of the Honen course that the SCORM package opens. Test its launch and browser behavior in your district's learner view.
Should I use package or SCO grading?
Choose package grading for one package-level grade column. Use SCO grading only when the package structure and your reporting goal call for separate SCO columns. Test the gradebook result.
