SCORM authoring for LearnWorlds with Honen

Export a reviewed Honen course as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 for LearnWorlds. Select the activity type based on whether you need completion alone or a Gradebook score. Read Honen for LearnWorlds for the wider course workflow.

SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in LearnWorlds. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.

Add the right activity

LearnWorlds documents SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions. In a course outline, use Add activity → SCORM/HTML5 Package for a regular activity. Upload the ZIP in its settings. The package needs a manifest, and the file must fit the documented 400 MB limit. Turn on Use SCORM Completion Rules only when the package sends the needed rule data.

Use Graded SCORM under Exams when the Gradebook must collect a score or pass/fail result. Configure score collection and test the final Gradebook value with a learner account. LearnWorlds says the Gradebook shows the final score or pass/fail, not a detailed breakdown of the package. It tracks completion for the package as a whole, not each sub-module.

Keep the lesson and result trustworthy

Give Honen approved customer instructions. Write short active sentences and one action per step. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules, the approved dictionary, and domain terms.

Honen-hosted text can load through the existing live ZIP. If you replace the package itself in LearnWorlds, test the learner impact first. LearnWorlds says a non-graded replacement resets progress. For Graded SCORM, the admin selects whether to keep or reset Gradebook scores, and revisit behavior can still reset progress. SCORM writes to LearnWorlds while the course is open; verify the final result before ending the session.
