How Honen works with LearnDash

Build and review course content in Honen. For a LearnDash pilot, export a SCORM ZIP and place it in a lesson or topic with a tested third-party SCORM add-on. LearnDash does not import or track the package by itself. Discuss a LearnDash pilot with Honen.

SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in LearnDash with Tin Canny. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.

Select and test the add-on

LearnDash documents SCORM through third-party add-ons, including GrassBlade xAPI Companion and Uncanny Owl's Tin Canny. This guide uses Tin Canny as the example. Its current setup guide places a SCORM module inside a LearnDash lesson or topic, not in the course builder as a native course import.

Tin Canny says version 4.0 and later accepts most standards-compliant SCORM modules, but does not guarantee every authoring tool or package. Honen's thin ZIP has not been certified against Tin Canny. Test the exported package, launch, resume, score, and completion in your WordPress environment before release.

Write and approve the lesson

Use approved procedures, slides, and transcripts as source material. Ask Honen to draft lessons, practice, and checks. Verify each instruction and answer. Honen can help draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms.

Decide what completes the LearnDash lesson

Tin Canny can gate the LearnDash Mark Complete action on module activity. Set that rule deliberately. A SCORM score in a third-party report does not by itself prove that the LearnDash lesson or whole course is complete. Test both views with an enrolled learner.

Honen's live ZIP loads current Honen content after a content edit. Re-export when package settings change. SCORM reports through the browser while the learner keeps the course open. Test the Honen tutor inside the chosen Tin Canny launch mode.
