SCORM authoring tool for SumTotal: match the package to the record

SumTotal lists SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 as supported online course formats. Honen can help build a reviewed live package for either version. The SumTotal tenant must confirm its upload and reporting settings. See Honen for SumTotal for the full path.

Set completion and version rules

Define the final action that completes the course. Set a score rule if an assessment needs one. Export the version that your SumTotal administrator confirms. Test the package with a learner account. SCORM sends status and score while the course is open.

SumTotal describes versioning and audit logs for learning activities. Decide how your team records the approved Honen lesson revision alongside the SumTotal activity version. A live text change can reach new launches without another ZIP upload, but a regulated workflow may require a recorded activity change.

Review the lesson

Give Honen an approved procedure. Have the owner check each fact, threshold, question, and tutor answer. Write short sentences and one action per instruction. Use one approved term for each concept. A qualified editor must check ASD-STE100 rules and domain terms. Honen's draft is not certified.

Test navigation, tracking, and resume after a structural revision. A live package also needs access to Honen's host during launch.

Compare other authoring routes

SumTotal's marketplace lists dominKnow as another SCORM authoring option. Its page says SCORM packages can load in SumTotal. Compare the review workflow, package test, and version record rather than assuming one tool fits every regulated program.
