Define the record first

Relias lists policy workflows, requirements tracking, accredited courses, and custom learning. A Honen-authored course does not inherit a Relias accreditation. Decide whether the learner needs a course completion, policy acknowledgment, professional credit, or observed competency. Ask your compliance owner to approve that design.

For infection prevention, use the current policy and site equipment list. Ask Honen to draft one action per step. A clinical expert must check every hazard, exception, and answer. A qualified editor must check approved terms, ASD-STE100 rules, and domain language.

Write the lesson around a decision that staff make at work. For example, show when to stop, select protective equipment, and ask for help. Keep each instruction tied to a section of the approved policy. Do not ask Honen to invent a clinical threshold. Store the policy version and the names of the clinical and language reviewers with the course draft.

Run a record test

Relias states support for SCORM, but its public pages do not show a current upload path or version. Confirm the tenant setup before using a Honen ZIP. Complete a pilot as a learner and inspect the exact report an auditor will use. A new Honen edit is not proof that a learner reviewed new content. SCORM reports while the course is open.

Test a failed attempt and a completed attempt. Compare the learner record with the policy acknowledgment or professional credit record that your organization needs. If a policy change requires staff to train again, set that assignment in Relias and verify a new completion. Keep the earlier record for the period it covers.
