How Honen works with Forma LMS

Use Honen to draft and review a course. Test its SCORM ZIP as a Forma LMS SCORM learning object before you assign it to learners. Keep Forma LMS for enrollment, access, and course reports. Ask Honen about a Forma LMS pilot.

SCORM support alone does not verify Honen's hosted launcher in Forma LMS. Test the exact ZIP, learner launch, and result in your site before rollout.

Forma's learning-materials tutorial puts learning objects in Teachers Area → learning objects management → course objects. It lists SCORM objects separately from file upload. Use the SCORM object type for a pilot. A normal file upload does not establish SCORM launch or tracking.

Forma's learning-object reference says Course Objects are available to learners. The same reference lists visibility dates, prerequisites, score options, and an End Object Marker that can mark the whole course complete. Decide which settings match your course rule before release. Forma's current public reference does not identify a SCORM edition for the object; confirm your site's supported package format with an administrator and test the exported ZIP.

Approve the learning content

Give Honen approved documents and source material. Draft lessons, practice, and checks. Compare each instruction and answer with the source. Honen can help draft and review controlled-language content inspired by ASD-STE100. A qualified editor must check the approved dictionary, rules, and domain terms.

Test reporting in your Forma release

Open the SCORM object as a learner. Check launch, completion, score, resume state, and course status. Honen reports SCORM data through the browser while the course is open. Forma 4.2's Course Report includes SCORM session details; earlier releases use different reporting screens. Check the report available in your installation.

Honen's live ZIP loads current course content on the next launch after a content edit. Re-export the ZIP when package settings change. Test the Honen tutor in the learner view before release.

Questions teams ask

Which Forma object should hold a Honen package?

Choose a SCORM learning object. Forma lists it separately from a file-upload object.

Does Forma document a specific SCORM edition for this route?

The current public learning-object reference confirms the SCORM object type but does not specify an edition. Confirm the accepted format in your installation and test the package.

Where do I check learner progress?

Use the reporting tools in your Forma release. Forma 4.2 documents SCORM sessions in Course Report.

Can one SCORM object complete the Forma course?

It can when the object is configured as an End Object Marker and the learner meets the completion rule. Test this setting with a learner account.
