Give every team a consistent starting point for training

Every time someone asks AI to build a course, they need to explain more than the topic. The AI also needs to know which company documents to use and what learners should practice. A policy course may need to use specific wording that a general request would leave out.

Those choices often stay the same across a training program. Honen Templates let you save them, so each department can create a course from a starting point your team has already thought through.

Put your training decisions into the template

Take support onboarding. You want new hires to understand the escalation process and practice deciding when to use it. The template can specify reading activities to explain the process and quizzes built around customer cases, along with the Knowledge Base folders that contain your support playbooks.

You can also attach Agent Skills, which are reusable instructions for how the AI should do a task. A Skill might explain how to write a realistic customer scenario or give feedback on a learner’s decision. Your template’s guidelines can cover the company’s preferred terms and how to describe a policy without inventing exceptions.

The main choices are:

  • •Activity types: the kinds of learning activities the course should include.
  • •Skills: reusable instructions for the AI’s work.
  • •Knowledge: the folders it should draw from when creating the course.
  • •Guidelines: the writing and subject-specific instructions it should follow.

You can set a starting structure too, including unit and topic counts. An administrator or someone with permission to manage Templates can save these choices for other course creators to use.

Keep the shared approach useful for different teams

A technical support team and a customer-success team may use the same escalation playbook, but they need different practice. Support staff might work on diagnosing a case. Customer-success staff might practice gathering enough information for a useful handoff.

Setup questions let the template collect that context before generation begins. An author can explain who the course is for and what those people need to be able to do. Honen AI uses the brief to propose an outline and build the course, with the template’s guidance carried into the work.

For enterprise teams, this puts some governance into course creation itself. Authors begin with a shared approach to sources and instruction. Access permissions still apply, and a template does not give someone access to a knowledge folder they couldn’t otherwise read.

Your publishing review is where experts check the course that was actually produced. They can see whether the chosen activities teach the intended decisions and whether the examples fit the department using them. The template gives that review a clear starting point: this is the approach the team agreed to use.
