Introducing Honen
Today we're launching Honen, a platform that automates a company's entire learning and training infrastructure. Drag in your training documents, connect your internal knowledge, or type a topic, and Honen builds a full course in seconds. It teaches that course to your team, watches how they learn, and adjusts the material based on what's working.
Why we built it
By 2030, more than 78 million jobs will require reskilling because of AI. Companies are already spending billions on training that teaches outdated material and leaves people behind. Most corporate courses get built once, shipped to thousands of people, and within months they're stale. Employees end up pushed through generic modules that don't match what their job actually requires.
Honen takes a different approach. Material updates when your company updates, courses adapt to each learner, and you can see exactly who's stuck and why.
How it works
Build a course in seconds. Drag in existing training documents, connect to internal knowledge sources, or just type a topic. Honen acts as a researcher and curriculum designer at the same time. It reads the material, understands the subject, and builds the course structure. You choose how interactive it should be and how deep it should go.
Send it anywhere. Once a course is ready, send it to any learner directly or push it into your existing LMS or HR system.
Learn with an AI teacher. Learners get an AI teacher that guides them through the material with visuals, interactive artifacts, podcasts, games, and flashcards. Each course personalizes a learner's interests and the way they prefer to learn.
Practice with hands-on projects. A salesperson might be put into a mock client meeting and graded on how they handle it. An engineer might be walked through setting up a piece of software while sharing their screen, with the AI teacher coaching them through it in real time.
What teams use Honen for
Here's how our own team has been using early versions of Honen.
- •Customer-facing training: Sales, support, and account teams learn how to talk about new products and workflows accurately.
- •Cybersecurity and compliance: Replace generic awareness training with courses built around your actual systems and stack.
- •Executive prep: Run live mock interview scenarios for press training, board prep, or earnings calls.
- •Internal tool ramp-up: Get teams fluent in new software and AI tools through walkthroughs led by an AI teacher.
- •Onboarding, apprenticeships, and internships: Spin up structured onboarding in days, or run multi-week intensives that take new hires from zero to contributing on real work.
- •And just about anything else you can type in.
Mini schools inside your company
One of the things we're most excited about: Honen lets a company spin up internal training programs and accelerated mini schools right inside its workspace.
If your support team needs to learn a new product before launch, build a one-week mini school for them. If your engineers need to ramp on a new framework, spin up a focused program with projects and assessments. If a department needs cybersecurity training that reflects your actual stack instead of generic content, build it. If you're hiring apprentices or interns, run an 8-week intensive that takes them from zero to contributing on real work, with custom projects and weekly checkpoints that show you exactly who's ready.
These aren't static courses. They evolve as your company changes. New documents, new processes, new tools, and the courses update with them.
A real-time view of how people are learning
You can see where every learner is excelling and where they're stuck. You can also ask the course agent questions in plain language. Ask why a team is struggling with a topic, and Honen will visualize an answer, then use what it knows to adjust the course. It might rewrite content, change the teaching style, or add new examples.
Get started
Honen works for teams of 10 or 10,000. You can build your first course in minutes and roll out a full mini school in a week. The goal is for every company, no matter the size, to invest in its people the way the best schools invest in their students.
